After School Programs

Our after school programs take place at GR!CU Headquarters, our welcoming and creative space in downtown Champaign at 117 N Market St.

We offer two programs during the school year, designed to give kids and teens a safe space to create, connect, and rock out. Whether your kid is picking up an instrument for the first time or just needs a place to unwind, GR!CU has a space for them.

Teen Lab

For ages 13–18
Thursdays | 4:00–5:30 PM Upcoming dates TBD
Drop-off: 3:30 PM | Pick-up: 5:30–6:00 PM
$150 per student Financial assistance available*
Limited to 12 students

Teen Lab is a supportive space for teens to be themselves. Whether they want to work on homework, play games, make music, or just hang out, Teen Lab is all about providing a safe place to wind down, be creative, and connect.

Open Jam

For ages 8–12
Tuesdays | 4:00–6:00 PM Upcoming dates TBD
Drop-off: 3:30 PM | Pick-up: 5:30–6:00 PM
$150 per student Financial assistance available*

Modeled after our summer camp, Open Jam gives younger students the chance to explore music, art, and collaboration in a low-pressure, high-fun environment. Students can play instruments, write songs, learn new skills, or form their own band—just like at camp!
