Join us for our 1st annual fundraiser featuring our end-of-camp band showcase with artisans and live music all day! Come see the fruits of our rock camper’s hard work and learn about our organization while shopping from our line-up of great vendors.

The GR! C-U camp will be week-long day camp where campers form a band, write a song, record their song, & perform it at a rock show at a local venue! Workshops that empower campers in their daily lives are included in the programming.
The camp is Monday through Thursday 8 AM to 4 PM, and the recording session will be 8 AM to Noon on Friday. The rock concert will take place in the early evening on Saturday July 30th, with the exact location and time TBA.

Join us for Girls Rock CU's first open mic & art show! There will be display spaces available for artists + 5-15 minute time slots for poetry, spoken word, and music. Duo & solo acts are welcome to sign up. There will also be microphones and sound provided and cleaned between sets.
*All proceeds from these event will be donated to the New American Welcome Center and Pandemic Relief Fund

Girls Rock C-U has partnered with the Rose Bowl Tavern in Urbana to present a live performance series. Every two weeks, we’ll be live-streaming a different pre-recorded performance from a local artist via our Facebook page. In between songs, artists will answer questions about the music industry and the songwriting process.
Join us and the Rose Bowl Tavern on Facebook to hear songs and stories from some of our favorite local musicians.

Join us in celebrating the end of our second annual summer camp with our camp showcase at Blackbird! Show poster coming soon.
Over the course of a week-long Girls Rock! C-U camp, our campers learn the basics of an instrument, form a band, attend workshops, write and record and original song, and finally perform it on stage at the end of camp showcase! Each of our two bands will perform their original song, and we'll have copies of each band's CDs available for sale, as well as other GRCU merch.
GIRLS ROCK! C-U'S 2019 SUMMER CAMP
June 17th-22nd at the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center

We're doing it again, y'all! Girls Rock C-U is hosting an open mic for the women of the Hootenanny to help raise $$ for our next summer camp. This hoot will feature frequent co-host of the Hootenanny, Emily McKown. If you want to play, all you need to do is come and sign up!
